Tenhulzen Painting at the Women & Childrens Shelter in Everett 11/15 & 11/16

We are excited to announce that some of the most outstanding individuals of the Tenhulzen Painting team will be involved in an important community service project on November 15th and 16th. This project will be performed in conjunction with Benjamin Moore Paints, The PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors of America), and several local colleague painters.  We will be executing a complete interior repaint of a community center which houses women and children in transition and is comprised of 11 rooms and 2 stairwells. This center is an important transition point in many women's lives. Whether suffering from abuse, loss of their jobs, substance abuse or other unfortunate situations, women and children who are desperate for safe shelter are welcomed here with open arms.

Tenhulzen Painting is committed to participating in at least one community service project per year and we are pleased to be involved in making this particular shelter a bit more welcoming for those in need of it's services. Benjamin Moore Paints will be donating the paint and supplies and the project will be featured on NBC's George to the Rescue. In addition, House Beautiful Magazine will be publishing a story on the project.

90% of the funding for the center comes from private donors. The community in which they work is the very community that supports them. There are a multitude of ways you can help from financial support, to volunteering, to prayer. If you feel the call to give something of yourself to this organization, you may explore how you can do so here:  http://www.egmission.org/how-you-can-help

TP to help Japan

This is our first blog and an important one indeed.
While driving over to Kellogg, Idaho I was listening to the reports of the devastation in Japan following the tsunami and earthquakes.  I feel great satisfaction when I help and contribute to others when they are in need, it is simply human nature.  Therefore, I had the idea to incorporate both an incentive to our clients and a philanthropic spirit within our company.  For any client that signs a proposal prior to April 15th, Tenhulzen Painting will contribute 5% of the job total revenue to the American Red Cross, specifically to go to the aid of the people of Japan.
I would also appreciate any information that anyone may have on opportunities to go to Japan and help with the clean-up and or necessary rebuilding process.  We may elect to take a small crew of trades people from partner companies to assist.
Thank you for reading and for your time.
We look forward to staying connected and providing you with all of the latest and greatest in the painting industry and what is happening in our company.
Respectfully,
Scott Tenhulzen
